I am a health economist and have published in the following international journals:

Journal of Health Economics, Health Economics, International Journal of Health Care Finance and Economics, International Journal of Game Theory, European Journal of Political Economy, Economic Modelling, Control Engineering Practice, Biometrical Journal.

As a policy adviser, I worked in 2008 as an expert adviser on the SER-commision on long-term care. In 2009, I was expert adviser at the official working group on reconsidering curative health care and at the working group on mental illnesses (GGZ).  Since 2010, I am a member of the working group on developing the Dutch risk adjustment system. I was also responsible for the analysis of the Dutch election platforms and the coalition agreement of the government Rutte-Verhagen on health care. As of November 2011, I work on Wednesdays at the Erasmus University Rotterdam (iBMG).
